Alcatraz East, Crime museum in Pigeon Forge, United States
Alcatraz East is a two-story museum in Pigeon Forge that displays evidence, tools, and objects related to crime and law enforcement across more than 24,000 square feet (approximately 2,230 square meters). The building divides into five themed zones that cover topics from historic criminal cases to modern forensic science.
The museum opened in Tennessee in 2016 after relocating from Washington D.C. and adopting a new name. The collection expanded after the move with additional objects and themed areas.
Exhibits feature notorious items including John Dillinger's Essex-Terraplane, Al Capone's rosary, and the Ford Bronco from the O.J. Simpson case.
The facility accepts only electronic payment and recommends around four hours to see the twenty exhibit areas. Both floors are accessible by elevator and stairs.
Visitors can try hands-on activities like forensic experiments, safe-cracking challenges, shooting simulations, and digital fingerprinting stations. These practical exercises complement the displayed objects with direct experience of investigative work.
