Sultan Sulaiman Mosque

Sultan Sulaiman Mosque is a place of worship in Klang that features an octagonal main prayer hall with walls that curve into a circular shape as they rise to meet a yellow dome. The structure blends Western architectural styles with Islamic design elements, creating a distinctive religious space.

British architect Leofric Kesteven designed this mosque in 1932, blending Western Art Deco styles with Neoclassical forms during Malaysia's colonial period. The building reflects the cultural mixing that happened at that time.

The mosque houses a royal mausoleum where members of the Selangor ruling family are buried. Visitors can see these final resting places and understand the deep link between this religious site and the local dynasty.

The mosque is accessible by public buses from Seranas Group and Smart Selangor services. Visitors should dress modestly and be aware of prayer times, as these may affect visiting hours.

Eight smaller towers surround the main tower, each decorated with iron frames that support colored glass patterns across different levels. These towers create a striking outline against the sky when you approach the building.
