Rafflesia Forest Reserve is a 356-hectare protected area in Tambunan with multiple walking trails that lead to viewing areas. From these spots, you can see the rare Rafflesia pricei plant growing in its natural setting.
The reserve was created in 1984 when the Sabah Forestry Department separated it from the larger Crocker Range Forest Reserve. This split allowed better protection of the Rafflesia population in this area.
