Universiti Sains Malaysia Engineering Campus, Engineering campus in Nibong Tebal, Malaysia.
The Engineering Campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia sits at the border where three states meet: Penang, Perak, and Kedah. The grounds include academic buildings, residential blocks, sports facilities, and service areas spread across a large area.
The campus moved to its present location in 2001 from Seri Iskandar, converting former palm oil farmland into an academic center. This move represented a major expansion of the university's engineering programs.
English is used as the teaching language, bringing together students from different parts of Malaysia and from abroad who share classrooms and campus life.
The campus has three cafeterias, a sports complex, shops, and banking services spread across the grounds. Covered walkways connect the residential blocks to the classroom buildings, making it easy to move around.
The campus houses specialized research centers such as the River Engineering & Urban Drainage Research Centre, which addresses flooding and water management issues in the region. Students gain experience working on projects that affect their local communities.
