The Municipal Theatre of Tacna stands as a two-story stone structure with a classical architectural design in the center of the city.
Spanish engineer Constantino Martínez del Pino constructed the theater in 1870, and President José Antonio de Pezet inaugurated it the following year.
The main hall displays paintings of notable regional figures, including poet Federico Barreto, painter Francisco Laso, and historian Modesto Molina.
The theater, managed by Municipalidad Provincial de Tacna, offers regular performances and cultural events throughout the year.
