Tacna Ornamental Fountain, Bronze fountain in Plaza de Armas, Peru.
The ornamental fountain features multiple tiers with intricate bronze sculptures created by French artist Mathurin Moreau in the central plaza of Tacna.
The fountain, manufactured in Brussels by the Eiffel company, arrived in Tacna in 1869 as a gift from President José Balta's government.
The fountain functions as a central meeting point for Tacna residents, hosting numerous municipal celebrations and community gatherings throughout the year.
Visitors can reach the fountain through multiple bus routes that stop at Plaza de Armas, with guided tours available from morning until late evening.
This fountain belongs to a limited series of twenty identical structures distributed worldwide, with similar versions found in Genoa, Boston, and Buenos Aires.
