Iglesia San Juan Bautista de Yanahuara

The stone church features a single nave with a cannon vault and a square tower, adorned with floral motifs and cherub figures throughout its facade.

Built entirely from white volcanic stone, the church reached completion in 1750, retaining its original high choir arch and main portal from the mid-18th century.

The church portal displays religious symbols including statues of Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Dominic of Guzman in decorated niches along its facade.

The parish offers daily masses, with services held at 7 AM and 6 PM Tuesday through Sunday, plus additional Sunday services at 11 AM.

The columns incorporate pre-Hispanic symbolism through carved cherub faces wearing feather headdresses, representing expressions of power in native traditions.
