Estadio Huachipato-CAP Acero, Football stadium in Talcahuano, Chile.
Estadio CAP features covered seating with a natural grass field measuring 110 meters by 70 meters and accommodates 10,500 spectators in its rectangular layout.
The stadium opened in September 2009, replacing the former Estadio Las Higueras that was demolished in 2008 to make way for this new facility.
The stadium represents the strong connection between industrial development and sports, as it was funded by CAP Acero, a major steel manufacturer in Chile.
Located at Desiderio García Avenue, the stadium contains premium boxes in its western grandstand and provides 170 designated press seats plus 15 spaces for disabled visitors.
Following the 2010 Chile earthquake, the stadium served as a temporary home for Club Deportivo Naval when their original venue suffered significant damage.
