The Estadio Municipal Nicolás Chahuán features a football field measuring 105 by 68 meters with artificial turf and two-tiered seating arrangements on both sides.
Built in 1950, the stadium underwent complete reconstruction in 2019 following damage from the 2010 earthquake, with a total investment of 12.6 billion Chilean pesos.
The venue serves as the primary home ground for Unión La Calera football club, representing the local community in the Chilean Primera División.
The stadium accommodates 9,200 spectators across multiple seating sections, with modern facilities distributed across four levels in the western stand.
The renovation project included rotating the playing field 90 degrees to align with the north-south axis, leaving the northern end open to display the surrounding landscape.
