The municipal grounds where the amphitheater stands became part of Olmué in 1944, leading to its development as a cultural performance venue.
Every January, the Festival del Huaso de Olmué transforms this amphitheater into a center for Chilean folk music and traditional performances.
Visitors can access the amphitheater through Estero Pelamote street and find parking spaces in the surrounding neighborhood streets of Olmué.
The venue derives its name from the pataguas trees that once characterized the local landscape of this Valparaíso region.
