Casa Maroto

Casa Maroto is a three-story residence with Italian-style architecture built in 1920 at the corner of Avenida Ossa and Hanover Street. The building now operates under Mall Plaza management, which balances cultural programming with commercial activities while preserving its architectural character.

Rafael Maroto Hurtado, grandson of a royalist military figure, built this residence in 1920 as a private home. He later donated it to the Chilean Red Cross, which managed the property for decades before it became a cultural center.

The house operates as a cultural venue hosting the Santiago Jazz Club, where music performances and community events bring the space to life. Visitors experience how a historic residence has become a place where contemporary art and tradition coexist within the same walls.
