Campus Oriente of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile occupies a former convent of the Religiosas de los Sagrados Corazones on Avenida Jaime Guzmán Errázuriz 3300, in the Providencia district of Santiago. The neo-Romanesque complex, designed by Juan Lyon Otaegui and Luis Azócar, keeps wide corridors and staircases leading to a central courtyard. A north-south axis formed by the temple separates green courtyards to the east from paved courtyards to the west. The built area covers 26,712 m² on a 59,119 m² site.

The site began as a convent and boarding school run by the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts before the university took it over in 1971. Since then it has gradually been turned into an academic facility.

The Faculty of Arts on this campus runs programs in theater, visual arts, and music. Walking through the grounds, you can see students working in studios and preparing for exhibitions.

The campus is clearly laid out, making it easy to find classrooms, the library, or the cafeteria without much effort. If you plan to visit during peak class hours, expect more activity and foot traffic across the grounds.

The campus opened to the public during Día del Patrimonio Cultural and serves as a polling station in elections. Its Centro de Extensión includes a theatre, auditoriums, a streaming room and art galleries, plus a Librerías UC branch and a café.
