Museo Histórico Carabineros de Chile

The museum displays artifacts, photographs, uniforms, and vehicles illustrating the evolution of Chilean police forces through multiple exhibition halls.

Established in 1958 as Museum and Historical Archive of Carabineros, the institution moved to its current location in a 19th-century house in 1992.

The museum maintains collections that document changes in Chilean society through the lens of law enforcement from the colonial period to modern times.

Located at Antonio Varas 1690, the museum offers free admission Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays until 4:00 PM.

The collection includes the Popemobile used during Pope John Paul II's visit to Chile in 1987 and President Carlos Ibáñez del Campo's original office.
