Antabamba Province

Antabamba Province extends across 3,219 square kilometers of mountainous terrain, featuring the Wansu range and numerous high-altitude peaks.

The province developed as an administrative region within Peru's Apurímac Department, maintaining its territorial boundaries through various governmental reforms.

The population of 11,932 residents includes a majority of Quechua speakers, who maintain their indigenous language and traditional practices.
