Palacio de la Exposición, Neoclassical palace in central Lima, Peru
The Palacio de la Exposición stands on Colon Avenue, featuring a symmetrical facade with Ionic and Corinthian pilasters across two floors.
Built between 1870 and 1871 under President Jose Balta's administration, the palace hosted the International Exposition of Lima in 1872.
The palace houses the Lima Art Museum since 1961, displaying permanent collections of Peruvian art from pre-Columbian times through contemporary periods.
Visitors can access the palace through its main entrance on Paseo Colon 125, near the intersection of Garcilaso de la Vega Avenue.
The structure incorporates iron columns manufactured in Europe, marking it as one of the first metal-supported buildings in South America.
