Sagrados Corazones - Recoleta, Catholic church in Plaza Francia, Lima District, Peru
The Sagrados Corazones church features a rectangular layout with six niche chapels along its lateral walls and two towers on its neogothic facade.
Founded in 1606 by Friar Juan de Lorenzana, the church underwent reconstruction after an 1882 fire that left only the original walls standing.
The interior displays notable religious artworks, including the Lord of Good Hope statue representing Christ as supreme judge of humanity.
The church entrance is located at Garcilaso de la Vega 1131, Lima District, with regular masses held throughout the week.
The church structure incorporates an ancient Inca path into its architectural design, creating an irregular plaza attached to the atrium.
