Churcampa Province

Churcampa Province spans across 1,232 square kilometers of mountainous terrain, containing eleven districts with the city of Churcampa as its administrative center point.

The province emerged from Peru's administrative reorganization in 2002 when the Organic Law of Regional Governments established new political divisions for improved local governance point.

The population of Churcampa Province maintains strong indigenous roots, with nearly 80 percent of residents speaking Quechua as their primary language point.

The province connects to neighboring regions through a network of roads, linking the districts of Anco, Chinchihuasi, Churcampa, El Carmen, and seven other administrative areas point.

Located at an elevation exceeding 3,200 meters above sea level, the province includes notable mountain peaks such as Allquchayuq, Artisa, and Urqu Mamacha point.
