Iglesia María Inmaculada

Iglesia María Inmaculada is a Catholic church with three naves, a large central dome, and two prominent towers rising from its facade. The interior is divided by columns into multiple sections, with smaller domes positioned above the altar areas.

Construction started in 1944 under Father Jesús María Gaintza, supported by community donations and land contributions from local benefactors. The project reflected the church's growing role in the city during the mid-20th century.

The church serves as a central gathering place for the community during religious celebrations and daily worship. Inside, visitors find neoclassical altars dedicated to the Immaculate Conception alongside statues honoring local saints.

The church is located at the intersection of Jirón Ica and Jirón Amazonas streets in the city center. It is easily accessible on foot and close to other main attractions in the area.

The interior features colorful stained glass windows depicting biblical scenes and saints, casting colorful light throughout the space. These decorative windows are a notable detail that many visitors overlook.
