Museum of Contemporary Art of Mar del Plata

The Museum of Contemporary Art contains three exhibition halls covering 7,000 square meters across two floors of concrete cubic structures.

The Museum opened its doors on December 27, 2013, with an exhibition called 'Ola Pop' showcasing Argentine art movements from the 1960s.

The museum displays works from Argentine artists including Alberto Greco, Jorge de la Vega, Rómulo Macció, and Antonio Berni in rotating exhibitions.

The museum operates Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM and weekends from 2 PM to 8 PM at the intersection of Camet Avenue.

Marta Minujín created an 11-meter sea lion sculpture using 80,000 golden Havanna alfajor wrappers for the museum's inauguration ceremony.
