Mirador Cabo Corrientes, Residential complex in Mar del Plata, Argentina
Mirador Cabo Corrientes is a residential complex with four 16-story towers arranged in a radial pattern and connected by a semicircular section. The site occupies only 24 percent of its total land area, while housing 550 apartments equipped with 3,600 windows total.
Construction began in 1969 on rocky terrain that required explosives to prepare the foundation. The project was completed in 1972.
The radial arrangement of the four towers was specifically designed so that each apartment could have a view toward the ocean. This thoughtful planning shapes how the building appears and makes it a recognizable landmark in the city.
The ground floor contains two shopping arcades, reception, administration office, swimming pool, daycare center, and entertainment areas. The complex sits along the coast and provides good access to nearby beaches and the waterfront promenade.
The complex earned the nickname 'Four Fingers' because its four towers resemble fingers when viewed from above. This nickname perfectly captures how the structure appears when seen from the ocean or the sky.
