Museo Malvinas e Islas del Atlántico Sur, National museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina
The museum occupies a three-floor building with exhibitions about the Falkland Islands, featuring photographs, documents, and personal testimonies from the 1982 conflict.
The institution opened on June 10, 2014, in a former Navy Mechanics School facility under president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner's administration.
The exhibition includes geographical arguments about sovereignty, descriptions of local flora and fauna, and natural resources of the South Atlantic region.
Visitors can explore the museum from Thursday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00, and Saturday to Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00.
The museum features an immersive experience called 'Pisar Malvinas' that allows visitors to virtually walk through Mount Longdon or fly in a Cessna aircraft.
