The Palacio Haedo occupies a triangular site on Avenida Santa Fe, featuring twin towers and French Neo-Gothic architectural elements in its design.
Built in 1883 for Colonel Reinaldo Villar, the building was purchased by Banco Popular Argentino in 1935 before becoming the National Parks Administration headquarters in 1942.
The mansion reflects the architectural preferences of wealthy Buenos Aires families during the late 19th century through its combination of Italian and French design elements.
The building stands opposite Plaza San Martín and near Torre Monumental, making it accessible through multiple public transportation options in central Buenos Aires.
A renovation project launched in 2023 will transform this National Historic Monument into an interpretation center dedicated to Argentina's national parks system.
