Torre IRSA

Torre IRSA is an office building with 24 floors and a distinctive pentagonal shape located on Maipú street in the Retiro neighborhood. The structure features suspended floor levels supported by a triangular core, creating its unusual geometric form.

The building was constructed in 1975 under architect Mario Bigongiari's direction, marking a turning point in Buenos Aires modern architecture. Its innovative design set new standards for office buildings in the commercial district.

The ground floor opens to the public with exhibition space, showing how business and community spaces share the same location. This reflects how modern office buildings became woven into everyday city life.

The building is straightforward to navigate with two independent elevator systems providing quick access between floors. Office spaces on each level are generously sized, allowing flexible use of the available layout.

The building was the first in Buenos Aires to feature a rooftop helipad, a remarkable rarity at the time of its construction. This feature shows how the design combined cutting-edge technology with practical function.
