The Mirador del Potrero stands at 1,270 meters above sea level, providing views of Potrero de los Funes village and its surrounding lake.
Indigenous communities inhabited the region around Mirador del Potrero long before modern settlements established themselves in the San Luis province.
The viewpoint marks the finish line for the Tour de San Luis cycling competition, attracting international athletes to this challenging mountain section.
Visitors reach the viewpoint via Provincial Route 3, located 20 kilometers north of San Luis city, through a 4.8-kilometer ascending path.
The 2013 Super TC 2000 motorsport event featured a special uphill race to the viewpoint after the main competition at Potrero de los Funes circuit.
