Calamuchita Department

Calamuchita Department is an administrative region in Córdoba Province that spreads across many kilometers with rivers, hills, and lakes throughout central Argentina. This territory contains twelve municipalities and is connected by roads that link the various towns together.

San Agustín was founded as the administrative center and played an important role in organizing this region. Its establishment helped shape the territorial structure of Córdoba Province.

Villa General Belgrano displays German influences in its buildings, shops, and restaurants, where visitors can see traditions in architecture and food. This local culture appears in daily life and community gatherings, not just in formal settings.

This region has several small and medium-sized towns with good road connections that visitors can easily explore by car. The best time to visit is from October to April, when the weather is mild and comfortable.

A nuclear power plant operates within this area and is one of only two functioning atomic facilities in the country. This plant shows the industrial side of the region alongside its natural and cultural features.
