Forte de D. Pedro II de Caçapava

The Forte de D. Pedro II de Caçapava is a military fortress featuring a hexagonal design with stone walls rising approximately 7.75 meters high. The structure reflects 19th century military architecture and showcases solid masonry construction typical of fortifications from that era.

Construction of the fortress began in 1850 as part of Brazil's strategic defense against potential Argentine invasions along the southern border. The fortification was built to secure this border region during a period of regional military tensions.
