Praia de Camurupim

Tourism development in Nísia Floresta started in the 1980s after the natural pools and coral formations here were discovered. Since then, the area has grown as a visitor destination.

Local fishermen still use traditional methods to catch fish, selling their daily hauls directly to beachfront restaurants and visitors. These practices remain visible in the rhythms of daily life along the shore.

The beach has parking areas, beachfront kiosks, and restaurants nearby, making a visit straightforward. The best time to explore is during low tide, when the natural pools are fully exposed.

The Pedra Oca cave formation becomes visible at low tide and creates a natural tunnel through the reef that visitors can walk through. This underwater passage is one of the most distinctive features of the place.
