Praia do Amor

Praia do Amor is a beach along the coast of Tibau do Sul with golden sand and natural rock formations that frame the shoreline against the Atlantic Ocean. Two distinct sections divided by rock outcrops create separate areas suited to different activities.

The region of Tibau do Sul was originally a small fishing village on the Brazilian coast. In the late twentieth century, the area developed into a noted surfing destination, which transformed its character.

Fishermen from the area use the beach daily for their work and sell their catches directly along the shore to visitors and locals. This everyday activity shapes the character of the place and shows traditional ways of life that are still practiced here.

Access to the beach is reached by marked trails along the cliffs, which are about a 20-minute walk from the town center. Sturdy footwear is advisable as the paths cross rocky terrain.

The beach has long been known among surfers for consistent waves that are channeled by the rock formations. This natural characteristic makes it a preferred spot for water sports enthusiasts seeking specific conditions.
