Tambá beach

Tambá Beach sits along the northern coast of Paraíba and spreads with golden sand backed by thick vegetation and water in shades of blue. The shoreline features wide, sloping sections that gradually descend into the sea, creating different areas suited for various activities.

The area traces back to Portuguese sailors who arrived in 1501 and first encountered the Potiguara people living here. This early meeting shaped the centuries of local history that followed.

The beach holds deep roots in Potiguara traditions, with local indigenous communities practicing their crafts and maintaining customs that visitors can observe during their time here. This presence shapes daily life along the shore and gives the place a distinct character beyond typical beach activities.

Visitors can reach the beach via BR 101 and PB 041 highways that connect well from João Pessoa. Multiple lodging and dining options are found along the shoreline to suit various preferences and budgets.

Underwater coral formations create natural pools when the tide goes out, offering calm swimming areas and easy snorkeling opportunities. This geological feature is not found throughout the entire beach, making certain sections particularly appealing for water activities.
