Popa Game Park

Popa is a protected area along the Okavango River where water drops across a quartzite ridge, creating a series of cascades. The space includes nearby riverine forest and wetlands contained within a very small reserve.

The area became a protected reserve in 1989, recognized as one of the country's smallest nature reserves. This designation helped safeguard the river landscape and the wildlife living there.
