Zambezi National Park, National park along Zambezi River in Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe
The national park spans 56,000 hectares of woodlands, savannas, and floodplains, featuring diverse ecosystems along the northern boundary formed by the Zambezi River.
The territory received national park status in 1979 when authorities separated it from Victoria Falls National Park to establish dedicated wildlife protection zones.
The park borders territories of the Ndebele people, who maintain traditional connections to the land through their customs and practices in Matabeleland.
Visitors access the park through a 25-kilometer Chamabondo Game Drive or the Zambezi River Game Drive network, with entry points near Victoria Falls town.
The park contains 75 fish species in its waters, including tiger fish, while supporting 400 bird species and large mammals like elephants and Cape buffalo.
