Port d'Ehoala is a commercial port on Madagascar's southeastern coast with three wharfs equipped to handle dry bulk cargo, liquid containers, and roll-on/roll-off vessels. The facilities are designed specifically for managing large quantities of freight and allow operation of larger merchant ships.
Portuguese sailors built a small fort at the site of the current port in the early 1500s. Local Antanosy people soon drove out the Portuguese settlers from their outpost.
