Ruaha National Park, National park in Tanzania

One of the largest national parks in Africa.

Officially gazetted in 1964, expanding to its current size in 2008.

Named after the Great Ruaha River which flows along its southeastern margin.

Best visited during the dry season from June to October.

Home to one of the greatest elephant populations on the continent.
