Nambo railway station, Railway and goods station in Bogor, Indonesia.
Nambo railway station is a decommissioned transportation hub in Bogor with a single platform serving both passenger and freight operations. The facility contains eight tracks, with one designated for passenger services and the remaining seven used for cement storage and logistics.
The station opened in 1997 as part of the KRL Commuterline network expansion, connecting suburban areas to Jakarta's metropolitan core. Following its launch, it gradually shifted toward freight operations while maintaining some passenger services.
The station functions as a meeting point between urban and suburban communities, representing the evolution of Indonesian transportation infrastructure in the Jabodetabek area.
The station sits at an elevation of 220 meters (720 feet) and operates along the Nambo-Depok corridor with daily services. Visitors should note that the facility is primarily used for freight operations, with only limited passenger services available.
The facility is managed by two separate operators: KAI Commuter for passenger transport and KAI Logistik for freight services. This shared operation makes it a rare example of dual-use transportation in the region.
