Gunung Sindur

Gunung Sindur is an administrative district in Bogor, West Java, made up of ten villages spread across roughly 49 square kilometers. The area mixes different types of land use, from open spaces to residential neighborhoods that blend together in a typical suburban pattern.

The district experienced strong population growth between 2010 and 2020, expanding from around 103,000 to over 126,000 residents. This increase reflects the outward spread of Bogor's urban development into surrounding areas.

Betawi, Sundanese, and Chinese communities live together in different parts of the district, each maintaining their own languages and customs. Walking through the villages, you can notice how these groups have shaped the local character and daily routines.

The area is connected to surrounding neighborhoods through regular bus routes to Serpong and Ciputat, making it accessible from nearby urban centers. Public transport works well for moving between the different villages and exploring the district.

The ten villages here vary quite a bit in size and development, with some being much larger than others. This mix of bigger and smaller communities creates a patchwork of different neighborhood types throughout the district.
