Manusela National Park, National park on Seram Island, Indonesia
The park spans 1,890 square kilometers of coastal forests, swamp forests, lowland rainforests, and montane forests across central Seram Island in Maluku.
Indonesia established protection measures for this area in 1972 through two nature reserves, which later merged into Manusela National Park in 1997.
Four indigenous villages exist within the park boundaries, including the Manusela community who maintain their traditional ethnic practices and language.
Mount Binaiya, reaching 3,027 meters in elevation, stands as the highest point in the park and offers hiking opportunities through diverse forest zones.
The Goa Hatusaka cave system within the park ranks as Indonesia's deepest cave, located beneath the limestone formations of Mount Hatu Saka.
