Raging Waters Sydney, Water park in Prospect, New South Wales, Australia
Raging Waters Sydney is a water park in the suburb of Prospect in western Sydney, featuring slide towers, wave pools, and zones designed for different age groups. The park covers an area of 25 hectares (62 acres) and offers several themed zones with varying water attractions and rest areas.
The park opened in December 2013 under the name Wet'n'Wild Sydney and offered a wide selection of water slides and family attractions from the start. In 2018, the Spanish company Parques Reunidos took over operations and renamed the facility to Raging Waters Sydney.
The Beach wave pool incorporates elements of Australian beach culture with waves reaching 2.3 meters and professional lifeguards monitoring water activities.
The park uses a MyBand radio-frequency identification system that enables cashless payments at all outlets throughout the grounds. Most attractions are accessible during the warm months from October to April, with peak season over the Australian summer holidays in December and January.
The Bombora attraction lets riders experience a brief moment of weightlessness before they slide down onto a wave-shaped surface. The park also has one of the largest artificial wave pools in the South Pacific region, capable of generating waves up to 2.3 meters (7.5 feet) in height.
