Festival Towers, Residential skyscraper in Brisbane, Australia
Festival Towers is a residential skyscraper with 41 floors and a height of 135 meters (443 feet) at the corner of Albert and Charlotte Streets. The building contains 401 apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms, with a modern green facade and podium levels offering a swimming pool and spa facilities.
The building opened in 2006 on the site of the former Brisbane Festival Hall, replacing a long-standing cultural venue. Construction began in 2004, marking the transformation of the location from performing arts to residential use.
The foyer displays photographs of musicians and artists who performed at the previous Festival Hall that once occupied this site. These images connect the building to Brisbane's artistic heritage.
The tower is centrally located in Brisbane and accessible by foot or public transport from nearby areas. Visitors can view the striking green facade from street level and explore the surrounding streetscape.
Shortly after opening, the building underwent a conversion in 2007 when numerous apartments were transformed into short-term rental accommodations. This shift reveals how the tower quickly adapted to market demand for temporary lodging.
