Las Glorias Beach

Las Glorias Beach is a stretch of sand along Puerto Vallarta's Pacific coast with golden shoreline and waters that shift between deep blue and emerald throughout the day. The area is framed by modern hotels and features a wide sandy section with direct ocean access and calm to moderate waves typical of this bay.

Development of this section began in the 1970s when major resort hotels were built, transforming it into a tourism center. This period marked the shift from a small fishing community to a major coastal destination.

Fishing families continue to work these waters daily, maintaining practices rooted in the community's past. Their early morning routines create a rhythm that coexists with the tourist activities and adds genuine character to the place.

Equipment rental stations are spread along the beach offering jet skis, parasails, and banana boats for water activities. The area is easily accessible and less crowded in early morning hours, making it a good time to settle into a spot and enjoy the water.

During winter months, migrating whales move into the waters directly offshore, and beachgoers can observe these large marine mammals from their spot on the sand. This seasonal phenomenon makes the beach a special place for wildlife watching during those months.
