Grand Olympic Auditorium, Sports venue in Downtown Los Angeles, United States
The Grand Olympic Auditorium stands at 1801 South Grand Avenue, featuring a large indoor arena with current seating for over 7,000 spectators.
The venue opened its doors on August 5, 1925, with special guests Jack Dempsey and Rudolph Valentino attending the inaugural celebration.
The building hosted significant boxing matches and wrestling events from the 1930s through the 1950s, surpassing attendance records of Madison Square Garden.
The structure now functions as a worship space for the Glory Church of Jesus Christ, following its purchase and renovation in 2005.
During the 1932 Summer Olympics, the auditorium provided facilities for boxing, wrestling, and weightlifting competitions as the largest indoor venue in America.
