Chandler Regional Medical Center is a full-service hospital in the East Valley of Phoenix, Arizona, offering care across a broad range of medical needs. It houses an emergency department, heart care, and pediatrics, spread across several connected buildings on a single campus.
The hospital opened in 1961 under the name Chandler Community Hospital, serving a small local community. It moved to its current site at the corner of Dobson Road and Frye Road in 1984, which allowed the facility to grow into a regional center.
The center is part of the Dignity Health network but operates without a religious affiliation, welcoming patients from all backgrounds. This openness is visible in the daily life of the building, where people from across the East Valley come together.
The main entrance is located in Tower D, the newest building on the campus, which makes it the easiest starting point when arriving. Since the campus spans several buildings, asking staff for directions at the entrance saves time when looking for a specific department.
Tower D, completed in 2021, is the only building on the campus designed to serve as both a main entrance and a patient care wing at the same time. It also comes with a large parking structure directly attached, which is unusual for a building that doubles as the hospital's front door.
