Templo de Santa Rita de Casia, Baroque temple in Chihuahua, Mexico
The rectangular temple features a cornice made of cantera stone, a triangular frontispiece, and a tower with two square sections separated by cornices.
Construction began in 1731 following Nicolasa de Orio y Zubiate's recovery from illness, fulfilling her promise to build a chapel dedicated to Santa Rita.
The temple holds annual celebrations every May 22nd, marking Saint Rita's feast day with religious ceremonies that have continued for three centuries.
Located at 1o de Mayo 1601 in Col Santa Rita, the temple maintains regular services and welcomes visitors to explore its single-nave interior.
The temple contains 18th-century artworks, including paintings depicting Virgin Mary passages and a notable 1789 painting of Santa Quiteria.
