Nebaj, Archaeological site in Santa Maria Nebaj, Guatemala
The archaeological remnants spread across the western Guatemala highlands at an elevation of 1900 meters above sea level.
The excavated artifacts from the site, including the Fenton Vase, date back to the period between 900 and 1200 AD.
The archaeological findings at Nebaj demonstrate the technical and artistic capabilities of Maya artisans through their sophisticated pottery and architectural elements.
