Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple, Religious building in Zona 9, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

The Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple is a modern religious structure built with precast concrete panels and features a single tower located on 9A Calle 4-03 in Zona 9. The building contains baptistry facilities and spaces designed for various religious ceremonies and rituals.

The temple opened its doors in December 2011, about five years after its construction was announced. It represents the second house of worship of this kind in Guatemala and marks a significant expansion of the faith in the region.

The temple serves about 60,000 members across western Guatemala's departments, who previously traveled to Mesa, Mexico City or Guatemala City for temple ordinances. Before its dedication, a cultural celebration on December 10, 2011, brought together 2,400 youth from the temple district, performing music and dance.

The temple stands at 9A Calle 4-03 in Zona 9, on a knoll at the western edge of the city, opposite Residencial Los Cerezos I and near Parque Zoológico Minerva. It is not used for Sunday worship, and after dedication only members holding a current temple recommend may enter. The landscaped grounds, with walkways and trees, are open to visitors.

At 2,426 metres above sea level, it is among the highest Latter-day Saint temples in the world; only the Cochabamba temple in Bolivia, at 2,650 metres, stands higher. The site is a knoll at the western edge of the city, facing Residencial Los Cerezos I.
