Pueblo Rico

Pueblo Rico is a municipality in Risaralda Department, situated in the western highlands at about 1,325 meters (4,350 feet) above sea level. The territory features rolling green mountains and is organized into rural settlements connected by mountain roads.

The municipality was founded in 1904 by settlers in the region and received official recognition in 1907. In 1912, the territory was transferred to Risaralda through administrative law, marking a significant jurisdictional change from its previous administrative division.

The community blends local traditions with contemporary Colombian administrative life, maintaining roots in rural heritage while functioning as a modern municipal center. Visitors encounter a place where regional identity shapes how people gather and conduct daily affairs.
