Huamantla is a colonial town in Tlaxcala centered on Parque Juárez, which features gardens, a kiosk, and surrounding buildings with wrought-iron balconies. The structures reflect several centuries of architectural development from the colonial period onward.
The settlement was founded in 1534 and developed around the San Luis Obispo parish and monastery complex. Colonial-era paintings and multiple chapels within these structures shaped the town's religious and urban layout.
