Tampico México Temple, Modern Mormon temple in Ciudad Madero, Mexico.
The Tampico Mexico Temple is a modern place of worship in Ciudad Madero featuring distinctive white marble walls sourced from Torreón and a tall spire crowned with an angel statue. Inside, the building contains multiple rooms and chambers designed for religious ceremonies and spiritual practices.
The temple was dedicated in 2000 and served as the 83rd house of worship for the religious community. This opening marked an important expansion into the Tamaulipas region.
The temple serves 18,000 members across four stakes, three districts, and the Mexico Tampico Mission through religious ceremonies and ordinances.
The building is located in Colonia Loma del Gallo on Avenida Ejército Mexicano and can be reached by local transportation. Visitors should check ahead of time as access to certain areas may be restricted.
Before its opening, followers in the region had to make long journeys to distant cities to attend major religious ceremonies. The dedication transformed accessibility for the local community.
