Ecomundo Park, Recreative Park located in Palenque, Chiapas, México
Ecomundo Park is an amusement park in Palenque, in the state of Chiapas, Mexico, set within a tropical jungle. It offers both water and land activities, including a lagoon for swimming, water slides, kayaks, pedal boats, an aquatic zip line, and trails through the forest.
The park was created to give families in the Palenque area a place that combined contact with nature and outdoor fun. Over the years, new attractions were added, and it grew into one of the most visited leisure spots in Chiapas.
The park sits close to the Maya ruins of Palenque, and many visitors combine both stops in a single day. In the evenings, families tend to walk around the lagoon when the heat drops and the air carries the scent of the surrounding jungle.
Arriving early is a good idea, as the park draws more visitors on weekends and during school holidays. There are shaded spots to rest throughout the grounds, and food is available inside so you can spend a full day without leaving.
Children up to three years old can enter the park for free, which makes it a practical stop for families traveling with toddlers. The aquatic zip line over the lagoon is one of the few of its kind in the region.
