Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve

Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve is a large protected area on the Gulf coast of Yucatán with mangrove forests, lagoons, and varied habitats. The site contains wetlands, coastal dunes, and woodlands that together form natural homes for numerous species.
