Dishman Art Museum, University art museum in Beaumont, United States
The Dishman Art Museum contains three distinct gallery spaces spread across 6,000 square feet of exhibition area within Lamar University campus.
Local philanthropists Herb and Kate Dishman established this educational institution in 1983 through a donation that encouraged additional community funding.
The museum houses 150 paintings from the 19th century, 250 porcelain pieces, and collections of African, New Guinean, and Pre-Columbian Mexican tribal art.
The museum welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, offering free admission and convenient parking in area C-5.
The Heinz and Ruth Eisenstadt Collection features 147 paintings by European and American artists alongside porcelain from Sèvres, Meissen, and Dresden.
